Documentaries are an artform - Artist wanted.

If you have a knack for narrative, a verve for visuals and a way with words, our team at Channel NewsAsia (CNA) is looking for a passionate producer to help us tell stories about Singapore and Singaporeans.

In this role, you will be part of the team that produces factual programmes and documentaries under the award-winning On The Red Dot brand. You will be deeply involved in the creative process, from scripting to directing to delivery, with the goal of telling stories that will educate, entertain, touch, and inspire our audience.

If you are applying for the Senior Producer role, you will also be expected to lead creative and content development within the team.

Responsibilities :

• Pitch ideas for programmes that fit the themes of On The Red Dot
• Be responsible for producing episodes of On The Red Dot, which includes writing, directing and producing.
• Research and source for suitable profiles and interviewees.
• Collaborate with other team members to improve the quality of content.
• Promote our programmes through traditional and digital channels.

Requirements :

• Degree in a relevant field in Mass Communication, New Media or Arts & Social Science
• Must have a strong interest in current or international affairs.
• Possess a strong news sense, with a good knowledge of local and regional issues.
• Have a flair for writing, a good story-telling ability as well as an excellent command of the English language.
• Ability to exercise individual judgment, spot important trends and work well under pressure to meet deadlines.
• Possess good interpersonal and communication skills, analytical skills, creativity, initiative, and resourcefulness.
• Production experience is a must
