Receive service requests by phone or email from customer and give advice and recommendations where appropriate
Ensure new service requests are acknowledged within 24 hours
Provide commercial quotations to meet customer\'s needs. Including the selection and pricing of spares and estimating site labour content (typically within 24 hours)
Follow up quotations with customers to secure future business (typically within 5 working days), and track success / hit rate.
Schedule the Field Service Engineers activities to achieve maximum efficiency, utilisation and profit
Raise service calls to the FSE\'s for each job
Co-ordinate and expedite where necessary, stock control and movement to enable job completion
Produce method statements and Risk Assessments in line with customer requirements
Provide technical support and advice to customers by telephone or email
Receive PO\'s and check terms and conditions where relevant
Raise Pro-forma invoices where necessary
Assist with review of engineer\'s reports and instruction for invoicing, approve engineer time sheet data.
Ensure spare parts and consumables in company service vehicles are tracked and maintained.
Order spare parts from Rotork factories or 3rd party suppliers
Generally, assist the Supervisor with the day to day running of the Service Department including the use of the Service Management System
Participate in regular stock counts
Other duties as directed by your line manage
Stand in for the Service Supervisor during holidays
Ensure adherence to HSEQ policies and procedures
Consult with team members on HSEQ issues
Ensure team members are equipped with the information, instruction, training and supervision required to work safely
Identify, assess and if necessary, control hazards within area of responsibility
Encourage early reporting of incidents
Develop safe work procedures as required and ensure adherence
Provide necessary PPE
Act as a role model by demonstrating positive HSEQ behaviours
Requirements:
Possess a degree or qualification in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or possess a strong background in sound engineering.
Acquire knowledge of, or demonstrate the ability to learn about, valves, actuators, and digital control systems.
Display proficiency in IT skills, including the use of service software and Microsoft Office applications.
Demonstrate flexibility in approach, being open to working extended hours as required.
