Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced ServiceNow Developer for our client within the Financial Services/ Payments space. The ideal candidate will leverage the ServiceNow platform to design, develop, and implement solutions that improve operational efficiency, strengthen compliance, and automate complex financial and IT workflows.

Key Responsibilities

Development & Implementation (Primary Focus)

Design, develop, test, and implement high-quality solutions across the ServiceNow platform Develop custom applications, modules, and functionalities using ServiceNow Studio, Flow Designer, JavaScript, Glide API, and other platform tools. Implement and maintain integrations between ServiceNow and other critical enterprise systems and 3rd party applications Create and configure reports, dashboards, and Performance Analytics to provide clear, actionable insights into IT and business operations, specifically for audit and regulatory compliance. Ensure all ServiceNow solutions adhere strictly to financial regulatory requirements Implement and enforce platform security features, including ACLs (Access Control Lists), user roles, and data encryption to protect sensitive financial and customer data. Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather and refine business requirements Conduct regular code reviews and platform health checks to ensure optimal performance, security, and adherence to best practices. Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, and analysts to translate complex financial and operational requirements into technical specifications and develop innovative solutions. Provide advanced-level support and troubleshooting for platform issues, including debugging scripts and identifying performance bottlenecks in a mission-critical environment. Participate in platform upgrades, patching, and cloning activities, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.

Required Qualifications & Skills

5+ years of hands-on experience as a ServiceNow Developer or similar role. Deep expertise in ServiceNow scripting: JavaScript, Glide Scripting (Client Script, Business Rules, Script Includes, UI Actions). Hands-on experience with ServiceNow platform development, including UI Policies, Business Rules, and Service Portal Demonstrated experience with ServiceNow Integrations (REST/SOAP, MID Server, IntegrationHub). Proficiency in Javascript, Java, related frameworks such as SpringBoot for backend development Experience with ServiceNow modules relevant to the financial sector (e.g., GRC, FSO, SecOps, or advanced CMDB/Discovery) and familiarity with compliance and regulatory frameworks in the financial sector will be a big plus Experience with AWS products and services * Good to have certifications ie. AWS Cloud Certification and ServiceNow certifications (such as Certified Application Developer)
