Purpose and Scope

Provide operational support and co-ordination with internal and external stakeholders on operating requirements to facilitate the smooth operation of Energy-from-Waste / Biomass Plant and in compliance with regulatory and company standards and requirements.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

• Ensure the plant achieve availability target set by the Management with responsibilities over daily operation plant inventories and liaise with suppliers on all feed stock in relation to maintain plant availability
• Consolidate annual operating budget for review and approval and monitor expenditure to ensure operating cost are within budget
• Represent operations in maintenance task meetings to liaise preventive & corrective maintenance issues/tasks
• Co-ordinate requirements and liaise with procurement for the purchase of spares e.g. chemicals, i.e. those not under maintenance etc.
• Liaise with regulators to ensure the validity and renewal of required operating permits
• Review and update daily DCS and Field Log, checklist
• Review and approve Permit-To-Work (PTW)
• Prepare and submit all necessary regulatory/management reports to internal and external stakeholders, such as daily shift report, midnight report, Operations Method Statement Risk Assessment (MSRA)
• Ensure plant operates in accordance to all Statutory standards/requirements such as with SCDF, MOM, NEA
• Ensure operators maintain high standard of competencies through OJT
• Successful candidate can be appointed as part of the Company Emergency Response Team (CERT) (training will be provided)

• Degree in Engineering
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Incinerator/Boiler operations
• Must have working knowledge of SAP system in relation to Permit-To-Work (PTW)

• Organised, detail-oriented and ability to multi task
• Good team player and able to lead the team to deliver results within tight deadlines
• Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
• Independent, initiative, resourceful and have positive attitude
• Able to learn and adapt to use of new systems and programmes for reporting
• Highly motivated and possess strong leadership skills
