Job Description
The Shipping Officer is responsible for overseeing the timely and accurate shipment of goods. This includes coordinating logistics, preparing necessary shipping documentation, and ensuring compliance with regulations. The role requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and strong communication abilities to collaborate with internal teams and external vendors.
Position: Shipping Officer
Duration: 8 Months Contract Salary: Up to $3200Current Location: -11 Pioneer Turn -Company transport provided at Boon Lay (9.15am)/ Jurong East (9am)/ Outram Park MRT (8.35am)
New Location (around end Dec): Orchard
Work Timing: Office Hours
Objectives: The shipping officer ensures processing invoices that are received from vendors. Processing invoices should result in the most optimum business outcomes while maintaining harmonious relationships with suppliers
Job Duties:
- Indirect sourcing flow/ shipment to FR from sourcing suppliers
- Create commercial invoice for in a timely manner
- Analyze PO line receiving status towards payment validation to suppliers
- Run weekly reports on (1) New and Amended POs, (2) Dchain Status of SKUs, (3) Returns from goods movement and (4) Payment analysis.
- Assist on urgent invoice creation required
- Updating material master linked to Dchain status evolution
- Update status on missing invoices requested
- Assist to resolve invoice errors stuck in Cegedim application
- Diploma qualification or higher
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Proficiency in MS Office and deep knowledge of Excel.
- Familiar with office 365 (Sharepoint, Teams, Outlook, Power Apps)
- SAP knowledge is appreciated
- Conscientious, reliable, and ready to work in a fast-moving environment
- Results and action oriented with attention for customer service
