Singapore is the regional headquarters for ING\'s Wholesale Banking (WB) business in Asia, which includes all WB business lines such as Financial Markets, Strategic Products, Sectors, Lending and Transaction Services and other support functions.
What does the FI Coverage Team do in ING?
The Financial Institutions Coverage team is responsible for the relationship management for banks and non-banks based in South-East Asia. You will play a key role in assisting the FI coverage team to manage and develop productive relationships with our target clients across Southeast Asia, with a specific focus on Financial Markets product penetration for our existing client base, and make sure that we are able to meet our regulatory compliance requirements in terms of Know Your Customer (KYC).
What would you be doing?
Support the relationship management for Banks, Sovereign Wealth Funds, Asset managers, Insurers, Sponsors and Funds incorporated in SEA
Engage directly product partners across FM, Lending and the Sectors teams to develop higher wallet share and cross buy potential with existing clients
Strategise and provide desk research for potential new to bank and existing clients for which we would like to deepen the relationship
Assist in pitch presentations, database update, annual reviews, client mapping
Liaise with internal and external stakeholders on a daily basis (Trade Finance, PCM, FM, DCM, and Lending and other ING offices where applicable) through Virtual Client Team (VCT) calls and active engagement
Keep detailed client overviews (placemats) up-to-date and MIS updates
Assist with and work together with Legal and product teams to execute and maintain transaction documentation, including but not limited to ISDA\xe2\x80\x99s, CSA, GMRA, Give-Up Agreements, Lending documents etc.
Validate provided documentation for reasonableness and completeness
Support onboarding of new clients and assist CDD review requirements on behalf of PAM
Monitors information and news services on the client base and shares client and sector developments with the team
What qualities, skills and other criteria are we looking for?
We are looking for a passionate individual who meets the following criteria:
Minimum of 3 years working experience in ING across either a coverage role or a product role (trading/sales) in Financial Markets
Skills & competencies:
Proficient in English
Strong Powerpoint skills
Proactive, diligent and team player
