INTRODUCTION
Thomson\xe2\x80\x93East Coast line (TEL) is a medium-capacity Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) line in Singapore that is currently under construction, being the sixth line to be built. The line was announced on 15 August 2014 by the Land Transport Authority. The fully underground line is 43 km long and consists of 31 stations, 2 Operation Control Centres (OCC), 2 Depots, and will be among the world\'s longest driverless rapid transit lines. The line will open in five stages from 2019 onwards and will be operated by Singapore Mass Rapid Transit (SMRT).
A complex and challenging project, Alstom will design, supply, install and commission the signaling Urbalis 400 Communications-based train control (CBTC) system and platform screen doors for Thomson Line.
OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
One of the key activities of Signalling System project execution is the commissioning of the system on site, along with other system wide contractors (SWC). During this critical phase of the project, some issues will be raised from the testing activity. It is of the utmost importance to ensure that each issue is well captured, analyzed \xe2\x80\x93 send back to the responsible party or corrected internally, all this to secure a smooth revenue service operation.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
As an System Interface Manager, your role will be to:
- To lead and manage sub-system signalling related interface with various System Wide Contractor for the project
- Interface with System Wide Contractor and participate to design meeting with customer related to those interfaces.
- To follow-up the issues raised from site (T&C and Revenue Service activities) related to Automatic Train Control (ATC) and Interlocking sub-system (IXL).
- To work with Engineering team in order to ensure that site issues are well planned in the next coming baseline.
- To coordinate with T&C team in order to capture any additional information and plan for re-test when necessary.
