What the role is:The candidate is tasked with overseeing the analysis and reporting of surveillance and registry data related to Bloodborne Diseases (BBD) and Sexually Transmitted Infections (STI). This involves ensuring that data collection and analysis are conducted with scientific rigor and managed securely. The role requires leading a team to conduct regular and ad-hoc reviews of methodologies used to estimate Singapore\'s performance in the HIV care cascade, ensuring the reliability of models used for local estimates. Design of surveillance programmes, analytic plans and epidemiologic studies will also be expected. Additionally, the role involves fostering relationships with various stakeholders to facilitate data collection, managing the analysis of epidemiological data, and generating actionable insights. The individual must also ensure compliance with organizational, governmental, and international guidelines in handling sensitive data, contribute to policy development, and provide training and mentorship to team members. The role also involves presenting findings to stakeholders and collaborating with other departments to align objectives with national health policies. Communicable Diseases Agency (CDA) is a new government agency that is being established by the Ministry of Health (MOH) to oversee Singapore\'s communicable disease preparedness, prevention and control, surveillance, risk assessment and outbreak response. It will consolidate and build on the public health functions under MOH, the National Centre for Infectious Diseases, and the Health Promotion Board.
