Job Description

What the role is:We are seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Senior/Assistant Director (Governance and Corporate Finance), Finance Division on a 6-month contract. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in financial and accounting functions in MTI.What you will be working on:

• Manage and oversee MTI-HQ\'s daily finance operations, which includes but is not limited to processing of payments, deposit records, fixed asset transactions and journal transactions, updates to vendor bank and other financial system records, as well as ensuring internal controls are being adhered to on an organisational-level and are in compliance with the Government\'s regulations and instruction manuals; \xe2\x80\xa2 Work with both internal and external stakeholders on audit, policy and process-related queries; \xe2\x80\xa2 Manage and ensure timely submission of financial returns to central Government agencies; \xe2\x80\xa2 Monitor, analyse, report and present financial metrics to management; \xe2\x80\xa2 Review financial processes and policies, and identify areas for improvement and automation to strengthen controls and efficiency; \xe2\x80\xa2 Contribute to Finance Division\'s process improvement and transformation efforts.

What we are looking for:

• A relevant field of study in Accountancy, Business Administration or related disciplines with at least 2 years of relevant working and/or supervisory experience. Past relevant working experience within the Singapore Public Service with working knowledge of Government Instruction Manuals and experience in the use of Government central financial platforms (e.g. NFS@Gov) would be an advantage; \xe2\x80\xa2 Committed, responsible and self-driven; \xe2\x80\xa2 Good communication, analytical thinking and interpersonal skills; \xe2\x80\xa2 Ability to manage multiple work priorities within tight timelines; \xe2\x80\xa2 Ability to work independently and effectively as a team; \xe2\x80\xa2 Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
