We are looking for a musically-inclined creative to join the Marketing team as a Social Media Specialist for our retail brand Swee Lee. In this role, you will harness sharp copywriting, digital savviness and creative content to effectively market our brands' range of products. Your main focus will be bringing content to life and crafting compelling messages that engage and inspire musicians all around the region. This role requires a digital native with a keen mind for creative and effective ideas and a discerning eye for visual output. A strong understanding of the music industry will also help you thrive in this role. Your day-to-day will involve writing action-inspired copy and content that not only compels consumers to engage but also helps to shape a distinctive and memorable brand experience. Motivated by effectiveness and impact, you'll be closely checking in and learning from insights/performance and applying these learnings into your copywriting and content strategy accordingly.

Responsibilities

• Create and write effective content to market our music instrument brands, their products and campaigns across multiple channels (Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, newsletters, etc.)

• Brainstorm & participate in the conceptualisation of our brands' social media calendars
• Ensure that all assets and collaterals are produced timely by prioritising production and managing different stakeholders
• Assist in the conceptualisation of high quality, inspiring, and thumb-stopping content
• Write regular content for our brand blogs
• Plan, schedule, and execute daily content uploads for Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, Twitter and more
• Align with internal teams to maintain social calendars and campaign timelines
• Optimise social and blog content operations and quality checking processes for efficient and error-free execution
• Monthly archiving of content
• Monthly reporting of social media analytics
• Master content management system and analysis tools
• Juggle multiple priorities in an always-on and deadline-driven environment
• Engage with our community and fans through social media
• Identifying and cultivating high quality impactful user-generated content
• Work closely with sales and support teams to provide exceptional customer experience on social media

• A passion for music and guitars is a MUST
• 2-3 years of experience with social media, content management, copywriting or writing
• Sharp, concise, and impactful written and verbal communication skills, with a masterful command of the English language
• A keen mind for effective communication ideas and a discerning eye for how visuals and copy work together to create compelling narratives and distinctive brand experiences
• A clear-headed and systematic approach to project management while retaining a level of flexibility to accommodate curveballs and problem solve
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Proficient with Google Suite (Sheets, Slides, Docs)
• Basic knowledge in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Lightroom, Premiere Pro)
• Familiarity with SEO tools and blog practices
• Willingness to work occasionally outside of regular office hours, weekends, and public holidays to accommodate global campaign timelines
• Bachelor's Degree in Media & Communications, Marketing Comms, or similar field is a plus
• Basic experience with WordPress and social media management platforms (Sprout, Hootsuite, Later, etc.) is a plus
• Extensive knowledge of electric guitars and related products is a plus
