Get to know the Team The GFG Cash Loan Engineering team’s mission is to make money instantly available and universally accessible - all the products and features we've released in the app are based on those principles. Cash Loan is one of the newest products and we're looking for an Engineering Manager to lead this team and help deliver on our vision of economic empowerment. Get to know the Role Manage and grow a team of experienced and passionate server engineers Lead and participate in technical, design, and product discussions with leaders across the organization and company Build a world-class team by hiring exceptional talent, coaching and developing engineers, cultivating pragmatic engineering decision-making, and leveraging your technical expertise to constantly raise the bar The Day-to-Day Activities:

• Architecting, designing, and delivering scalable highly-available services and/or creating responsive, performant, and maintainable apps
• Owning and ideating on technical solutions for new product requirements
• Participating heavily in code and design reviews
• Generating ideas for new initiatives and technologies
• Becoming a domain expert within the Underwriting and Loans business
• Collaborating and representing engineering with outside stakeholders in product marketing, business, operations, legal, and compliance
• Working in a fast-moving, highly collaborative environment across multiple offices
• Mentoring other members of the team and helping foster a learning environment within the team

The Must-Haves:

• 8+ years working on complex systems and delivering quality software
• 2+ years experience directly managing engineers (including providing mentorship, feedback, and investing in the career growth of your team members)
• Boundless curiosity, persistence and a desire to get things done
• A track record of healthy collaboration with product managers, engineers, and other engineering managers on developing roadmaps and executing against them
• Knowledge of other development languages, including Golang, shell scripts, exposure to RestAPIs, websockets.
• Good working knowledge of relational databases (MySQL, Postgres).
• Certificatification for AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform are a plus.
