Reporting Structure: Supervisor(s): Manager, Solutions DevelopmentJob briefENGIE ITS PTE LTD is currently seeking a Solutions Engineer to serve as a technical specialist responsible for the efficient design and technical execution involved in providing engineering support to the Sales team(s). The Senior Solutions Engineer will be responsible for design, and solutioning of the Data Centre Mechanical and Electrical systems. This includes designing, solutioning and delivering of the entire Data Centre systems and works together with an agile team of the best Data Centre engineers in the industry.Key Responsibilities . Communicates business priorities and customer requirements to the solutions development manager, and clearly express and articulate the design requirements to the sub-contractors and/or OEM suppliers or vendors. . Communicate clearly to suppliers, contractors, clients and client representatives in determining project scope . Provides high level technical interface between ENGIE internal sales, customers, OEM vendors / suppliers, M&E consultants, and sub-contractors to determine root-cause of problems and to develop effective solutions . Provides a thorough investigation for project requirements including bid compliance and technical review of mechanical and electrical sub-contractor quotations . Conducts analysis and ensures that the designs are feasible. Makes recommendations and develop alternative solutions to meet the customer's needs. . Prepares reports, correspondence, procedures, specifications and technical calculations . Prepares technical data and papers for customers using good presentation and report writing skills. . Takes lead in developing Data Centre design approaches and concepts on assigned projects . Preparation and design of Mechanical and Electrical Services . To solution and design a Data Centre based on Singapore Code of Practice and best practices that align to the Data Centre guidelines such as Uptime Institute, TIA-942, ASHRAE, Singapore Green Mark, etc. . Review of shop drawings and submittals for the assigned projects . Able to use Computer Aided Drawings (CAD) in order to visualize the end to end design of the M&E system . Participates in customer meetings and site surveys . Maintain the primary technical contact with the clientRequirements . The candidate should have an engineering degree. Mechanical engineering degree is an advantage. . The candidate should have a minimum 3+ years' experience in Cooling system, HVAC, Ducting design experience in Data Centre . Technical Presentation Skills and Technical Specifications writing. . AUTOCAD proficiency in drafting the design . A profound Communications and Writing Skills. . Project Engineering Experience is an added advantage . Data Centre Site experience in renown organizations is an advantage . Experienced consultancy in Mechanical and Electrical organizations is an advantage . Uptime Institute Accredited Tier Designer is an added advantage . Precise and meticulous in details . Good designing aptitude with solid and constructive ideasPersonal Attributes . Technical and Meticulous with an eye for details with positive working attitude . A good communicator and technical person that is able to listen, empathise, explain, advise, influence with the stakeholder's expectations . Organized and detailed-oriented, with a strong focus on Mechanical and Electrical Engineering design . A lifelong learner and independent of reinventing themselves and staying relevant in the data centre industry . Able to work under pressure and tight deadlineOther Information: .
