The Wonderful Company's Global Sourcing Team's mission is to support all Wonderful’s operating companies to research, identify, select, negotiate, and bring the most cost-efficient and capable suppliers into our supply chain. The Sourcing & Product Development Manager will be responsible for supporting the planning and execution of key initiatives related to sourcing strategies and procurement operations. You will be working on projects for one of our many reputable brands such as Fiji Water, Wonderful Pistachios and Almonds, Wonderful Halos, Seedless Lemons, POM Wonderful, JUSTIN Wines, Landmark Wines, Lewis Cellars, Teleflora, NPDL, Wonderful Citrus, Wonderful Orchards & Nurseries, Suterra to name a few. Reporting to the Regional Director (Asia Pacific), we are looking for a talented and experienced individual who can easily navigate ambiguity and collaborate with multiple departments and vendors as well as establish strong relationships with stakeholders to drive results. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking for broad exposure in sourcing, product development and purchasing within a growing multi-billion-dollar business. There is a lot of variety in this role where no two days are the same as you will continually learn about different commodities and how to source them from an assortment of suppliers. This role can be based at the Wonderful Sourcing Singapore office or in any country in South East Asia


What you will be doing:

• Working cross-functionally with internal business stakeholders on a variety of initiatives to identify and define their sourcing and procurement needs
• Analyzing supply chains and business needs to determine optimal sourcing and purchasing strategies
• Formulating and implementing strategic sourcing initiatives
• Supporting various Global Sourcing activities to include supplier/commodity/category research and competitive conditions
• Conducting vendors identification and selection process including developing, analyzing and managing the RFI/RFP/RFQs process and contract development
• Collaborating with stakeholders to support supplier management, including supplier performance via KPI monitoring, objective setting, and ongoing relationship management
• Effectively documenting, communicating and preparing supplier recommendations for decision-makers
• Managing contract timelines, renewals and develop appropriate negotiation strategies
• Order fulfillment including delivering Cost of Goods savings, meeting quality standards and supporting delivery logistics

This role includes international travel, mainly to Asian countries, as required to conduct sourcing and procurement activities.

Qualifications
What you will bring to the table:

• At least 5-10 years’ experience in strategic sourcing or vendor management in international companies
• Sourcing experience & supplier network in packaging/marketing/MRO/manufacturing equipment/farming Supplies and related products
• Sound knowledge in product specification, lead time management, quality assurance and pricing mechanisms, etc.
• Excellent communicator with people from different countries and at different levels (Must be fluent in reading, writing and speaking English)
• Resourceful and with good supplier connections in Asia
• Experienced in vendor selection, qualification and contract negotiations
• Strong analytical problem-solving ability - defines problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid fact-based conclusions/solutions
• Sharp business acumen and strong leadership skills and independence in carrying out sourcing projects
• Ability to influence and negotiate the best rates
• Experience in FMCG, Manufacturing, Plastics or Food Packaging industries are preferred
