We are looking for an immediate, full-time, permanent position in APAC at Singapore.

Job Purpose:

Refine and implement best local / regional category specific strategies, particularly within domestic ground transportation and warehousing across Asia Pacific. Work closely with local procurement teams to ensure \xc2\xb4best in class\xc2\xb4 suppliers and maintain good relationships with the various internal business units and stakeholders. Prepare and support supplier negotiations at local/regional level, and ensure cost competitiveness, compliance, and overall satisfaction for our stakeholders.

Your tasks:

  • Provide professional sourcing support for key business initiatives, supply market research / intelligence to support business decisions in investments and budgets and establishment of local or sub-regional frame contracts
  • Integrate Procurement services at sub-regional / country level for the business colleagues (divisions) are in scope. Achieving greatest value contribution, benefit realization and efficiency from all procurement activities and ensuring customer satisfaction by meeting their demands in terms of quality, price and service
  • Specialize in strategic sourcing of goods and services and transportation capacities in order to reduce costs and ensure quality and supply as needed by the business / function in scope
  • Providing Fair Value Assessment for Customer Change Management Process in the management of 3PL rate quotations and changes.
  • Develop and maintain thorough knowledge:
  • markets / category trends
  • suppliers / key players
  • Support and implement local category strategies leveraging on regional and global strategies
  • Prepare and support supplier negotiations at with senior colleagues
  • Prepare, conduct and support tenders (incl. e-sourcing) with senior sourcing colleagues
  • Effectively implement local / sub-regional contracts
  • Ensure (sourcing, purchasing, company) policy adherence of local divisional colleagues
  • Supplier management:
- Database maintenance
- Supplier classification
- New sources identification * Track and maintain accurate data in the Procurement tools:

- suppliers, rates, contracts
- spend, projects, master data * Establish close contact with local business units to ensure actual and future knowledge of demand and service quality
  • Contribute to the cooperation between countries and sourcing
  • Managed Spend \xe2\x80\x93 15-20M EUR average per year
  • Managed Categories \xe2\x80\x93 Transportation services(Road and Air), Warehousing services
Your profile:
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree or equivalent experience/qualification
  • 5 years of relevant experience preferably in Procurement environment
  • Understanding of and working experience with procurement practices and procedures and commercial law, preferably category specific especially about Transportation services (Road and Air)and Warehousing services in the region.
  • Regional / Multinational souring experience within APAC
  • Project management experience preferred
  • Proficiency in English. Conversant in Mandarin language would be desirable.
  • Procurement Tactics \xe2\x80\x93 Procurement levers (e.g. RFP / RFI management); procurement tactics; communication and decision process
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Access, PowerPoint) and other IT applications
  • Proficient use of pivot tables and/or database querying
  • Experience in data analysis
  • Flexible to travel as and when required
