Sous Chef (NOBU Restaurant)
The Sous Chef reports to the Executive Chef, and is responsible for supervising the day-to-day running of the kitchen operations. The management of food costs and production control are important to reduce wastage in addition to the culinary training that the Sous Chef provides for all kitchen team members on a daily basis. The Sous Chef is also responsible for planning, organizing, controlling and directing the work of team members in the Kitchen while ensuring superior quality and consistency in the preparation of all food items.
Job Requirement
A diploma holder preferably specializing in hotel/restaurant management or culinary arts, or equivalent experience is required.
At least 5 years of experience in Japanese culinary and 3 years in management positions preferably in the hotel Industry
Requires a working knowledge of division operations as well as Four Seasons cultural and core standards, policies, and standard operating procedures.
Requires ability to operate computer equipment and other food & beverage computer systems.
Requires the ability to operate and utilize culinary production equipment and tools.
Requires reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language.
