Location: Yishun

Working hours: Mon - Fri 7.30am - 5pm

Employment duration: Till 27 Oct 2023

Salary: $2,000 - $2,500

Job responsibilities:

1) Intervention work (group or individual)

Work with students on their specific learning needs outside of class setting. These learning needs can include socialization skills, communication skills, self-management, self-control, study skills and/or strategies to focus on their strengths and learning.

2) Provide in-class support and monitoring

Provide support to selected students in the class setting. He/she will observe and work with specific students in the class to follow teacher instructions and to ensure safety and a conducive learning environment for the students and others.

3) Support students during school events and learning journeys

Together with the class mentors, subject or CCA teachers, you will support students during events such as Learning Journeys, school camps, sports events and other co-curricular activities.

4) Collaborate with school staff

Work closely with the SEN Officer, SDT, class mentors and subject teachers to monitor and gather feedback and information on students or those showing at-risk behaviours

5) Documentation of support and other administrative work

Required to document his/her work with these students and assist with any work-related administrative duties. He/she will need to be familiar with Microsoft Office. He/she will also be required to attend meetings within the working hours to discuss the cases.

Requirements:

- Experienced working with students with special needs in a school setting.

- Any credentials or qualifications in the teaching area will be an added advantage.

- Preferable someone who is calm, matured and works well with people.
