The Centre for Instructional Technology is looking for a staff who will be responsible for post-production and blended learning (BL) duties:

• Splice raw film footage together from various sources, shoots and combine it with other scenes to create a cohesive instructional video.
• Evaluate edited footage to make sure it matches the instructional video from the script and meets the narrative agenda of the producer and instructor.
• Combine visual footage with audio sound effects, dialogue, ambient sound and a musical soundtrack to create more drama in the video.
• Use computer editing software programs, digital video effects programs and other tools to piece together film components.
• Ensure all editing cuts, splices, changes and additions appear seamless and natural and help the story flow more effectively in the finished video.
• Create sound effects by recording specific audio clips or choose audio effects from a database of sounds to include in the final video.
• Discuss project timeline, narrative structure, story goals and more with the instructor and any producers as the project is edited.
• To work with other department to manage and monitor self-recording equipment loan monthly.
• To provide Panopto, Camtasia, Self-recording equipment, and video editing training to instructors.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Film, video production or related.
• At least 3 years of experience with video editing software.
• Knowledge in self-recording software including Panopto, Camtasia and Zoom.
• Good at Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effect, PowToon and any 3D modelling animation software.
• Resourceful, cheerful with positive working attitude.
• Passionate about multimedia and video content creation.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced working environment.
• Good team player with strong interpersonal skills.
• Great sense of humour with creative mind and strong critical thinking.
• Knowledge in Unreal Engine for Virtual Production would be a plus point.
