Summary
Reporting to the Deputy General Counsel, we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Claims and Insurance Specialist (individual contributor) to join the Claims & Insurance department, APAC coverage.
In this role, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the captive insurance company independently as well as handling the day-to-day management of the claims and insurance business data.
Main Responsibilities
Captive Insurance Company
Ensure the smooth running of the captive insurance and liaise with CMA CGM Head Office (HO) insurance staff
Review of underwriting and claims
Review of expenses and claims and approve within limit
Work with stakeholders to provide Letters of Credit to primary insurers according to contractual requirements
Monitor receipt of premiums and cashflow
Monitor financial results and to work closely with captive manager and external auditors
Admin and Finance, Claims and Insurance APAC
Collaborate with APAC Claims managers to ensure the accuracy and completeness that all claims are properly recorded in a timely manner into the claims database
Monitor provisions and ensure that claims estimated are in line with the insurance reserves and accurately recorded into the internal claims database
Partner with the finance department to issue payments and verify reimbursement amount
Monthly claims review for reimbursement from P&I Clubs and H&M insurers
Execute all day-to-day administration for insurance and claims matters in a timely and effective manner
Work with HO admin claims team on a regular basis to maintain alignment of processes
Minimum Requirements
Degree in marine/non-marine insurance related field and/or with finance background preferable
Minimum five years\' work experience
To be meticulous with details regarding claims processing and payment
Fluency in English and proficient in IT software and tools
