The Opentext Professional Services team is comprised of more than 3,000 consultants who act as trusted advisors, managing long-lasting relationships with more than 100,000 customers around the world. They are responsible for the delivery of business solutions from pre-sales to post implementation. Our teams of experts help organizations solve issues, create value, improve business performance, and work more effectively in an increasingly digital world.
This position is a blend of billable and presales activities, as determined by the needs of the business. The Senior Consultant will deliver professional services related to OpenText solution as described in Statements of Work/Letters of Engagement. They will serve as a subject matter expert in OpenText solution architecture, leading and/or contributing to presales efforts, including scoping, determining estimates for activities and writing Statements of Work/Letters of Engagement/Rough Orders of Magnitude. Working with an outstanding team of consultants and subject matter experts, the OpenText Senior Consultant must be a professional who has an interest in how business processes work and interact with technology in order to deliver world-class Enterprise Information Management (EIM) solutions that enable clients to become highly effective businesses.
What You Are Great At:

• Understands the customer business requirements, makes design choices and develops solutions that meets the requirements using appropriate features of OpenText Enterprise Information Management solution suite.
• Designs and programs complex modules of an application taking into consideration the functional and non-functional aspects.
• Takes ownership of code quality. Actively and effectively reviews source code, takes defect prevention steps in software development.
• Provides high level work estimates and assists in task planning & task allocation.
• Passionate about new technologies/innovations happening around. Constantly upgrades knowledge on latest technologies and standards.
• Should be able to describe customer requirements technically and should be able to build quick proof of concepts.
• Act as a team leader during implementation phase.
• Maintain close working relationship with the customer.
• Able to conceptualize and build high quality demos for marketing or analyst briefings, pre-sales opportunities.

Desired Skills & Experience

• Minimum 7 years working experience in a developer or consulting capacity, preferably with a professional services organization.
• Knowledge of the existing OpenText product portfolio, associated technologies and standards is highly desirable esp. Opentext Teamsite, OpenText LiveSite, Opentext Media Management
• Candidates with working experience in software products in the Web Content Management space, Digital Asset Management, Experience Management are encouraged to apply.
• Should possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must have a flair for clearly documenting design choices or technical decisions made
• As a technical leader, should be able to influence others in the team by clearly articulating the reasons and providing justifications for technical decisions made.
• Database skills, SQL, Triggers/Stored Procedures and working experience with any of well-known database (MS SQL Server, Oracle, DB2 or MySQL)
• Working hands-on knowledge of Hyperscalers like AWS, GCP, Azure is highly desirable and shall be given preference
• Knowledge of Kubernetes and similar orchestration platforms
• Possess technical knowledge on:
  • Java Scripts, SOAP, REST, Web Services, HTML5, XML/XSL
  • Single Page Applications, Progressive Web Apps
  • Service Oriented Architecture
  • W3C standards
  • Platforms (.Net, Java, J2EE)
  • Web 2.0 technologies, Frameworks like Angular 2
  • HTML Frameworks – Bootstrap, Foundation
  • Various types of enterprise applications (e.g. ERP, EAI, BPM)
  • Knowledge on Web Servers and Application Servers
  • Software Testing tools, JUnit, QTP, Load Runner, etc.
  • Software Configuration Management and deployment, ANT, Version Control tools, CICD etc.
  • Software development methodologies
