Job Description


The Innovation & Improvement (I&I) Office plays a strategic role in positioning Khoo Teck Puat Hospital and Yishun Health (KTPH & YH) for future success. I&I is dedicated to driving organisational changes that enhance the hospital\'s ability to achieve its strategic objectives efficiently and effectively. I&I focuses on achieving superior outcomes in process, service and quality improvement through:

  • Facilitating Improvement Initiatives: Collaborating with internal stakeholders to initiate and drive improvement projects, supported by meaningful data and analytics.
  • Building Capabilities: Enhancing improvement skills and capabilities across the hospital.
  • Fostering Innovation: Cultivating an innovation culture within the hospital.
The Executive/Senior Executive will be part of the Data & Analysis team who partner stakeholders to interpret and present statistical outcomes to support improvement initiatives. The individual collaborates across departments to address their challenges using data and appropriate techniques in Data Science, Optimisation and Machine Learning.MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • SPECIFIC
  • Perform in-depth analysis (including data extraction, processing, and analysing), formulate insights and provide recommendations that support the desired project outcomes and business case. \\
  • Develop and implement solutions using Generative AI techniques and leverage data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau to create intuitive and impactful dashboards.
  • Project Management: Assist in projects from conception to completion, supporting timely delivery and achievement of desired outcomes.
  • KPI Monitoring: Work closely with cross-functional teams to establish metrics and KPIs to monitor the effectiveness of improvement initiatives and make data-driven decisions.
  • Reporting: Generate and present regular reports on the progress, insights and impact of improvement projects to key stakeholders.
  • Supporting continuous improvement: Work closely with doctors, nurses, allied health professionals, operations staff and other support departments to foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
  • GENERAL
  • Align the department\'s goals with the business goals of the hospital.
  • Provide secretariat and administrative support to the department and hospital.
  • Support all corporate activities, including at NHG cluster level.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
  • Minimum of 2 years in service industry/health-care related areas preferred.
  • Good writing ability, to translate data insights into well-structured reports and presentations.
  • Intermediate to advanced level of skill in Microsoft Excel preferred.
  • Comfortable with uncertainty in work assignments.
