Position Summary:

In order to support the rapid growth and scale of Dexcom, we are seeking an experienced, highly-motivated Sr Manager Program Management of APAC Strategic Programs. As a successful Business Program Manager within business enterprises, the Sr PM will help streamline the business life cycle process, prioritize projects, and drive new solutions introductions to achieve the company\'s business and strategic objectives for the APAC region. The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate a proven track record in managing a range of complex, high-impact business programs/projects with strong organizational leadership and influencing skills across many different business functions.

Operating with a transformative mindset, you will effectively manage multiple programs of work involving enterprise solutions and services for the business enterprise of Dexcom. Specifically, you will begin by focusing on business programs with extensive impact to the customer experience, Go-to-Market strategies, and scalability. These will include cross-functions from such groups as Sales, Commercial, Legal, Marketing, QA, Finance and so forth.

You will view this as a tremendous opportunity to impact our customer base and growth of the organization, as well as service our internal business partners. As people manager, this role will manage Project Managers in different capacities in Japan, South Korea and other APAC Commercial locations. This position reports to the VP and General Manager, APAC.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Works in a large strategic portfolio using a wide range of program management expertise with the ability to use company objectives to resolve complex issues in effective and creative ways.
  • Independently identifies opportunities to long range plans and portfolio and develops plans with senior stakeholders as well as project team using concepts, influence, and techniques to conduct in-depth evaluation and problem solving.
  • Ability to lead and manage local in-country project managers, even when they are reporting in to local leadership. Experienced and successful in working in matrixed environment.
  • Coordinates, leads, and oversees go-to-market strategic planning & gap analysis meetings with senior stakeholder groups to develop strategy models and program forecasts.
  • Daily engagement with VPs, Directors, & Managers, with the confidence and ability to lead senior stakeholder meetings and initiate action on assigned items.
  • Works with Vice President and local directors to identify target groups and build roadmaps for change communications across a cross-functional organization.
  • Networks and influences key senior stakeholders across the organization and outside own area of expertise.
  • Prepares and delivers change management communication content electronically or in briefings to executive and program leaders to develop awareness, knowledge, and desire for upcoming program changes and events.
  • Tracks communications effectiveness with target audiences.
  • Oversees stakeholder adherence to program governance and makes recommendations for updates, changes, or improvements.
  • Drives innovation for system, process, and technology that support financial objectives, including revenue and margin targets.
  • Augmentation for operations staff Program/Project Management for limited duration projects
  • Interact and liase with PMO peers across other Dexcom commercial regions
  • Translates complex technical data and creates information products that are easily understood by a wide range of audiences.
  • Independently tracks workstream initiatives, develops reporting dashboards, makes reports, and builds executive briefings.
Experience and Education Requirements:
  • Typically requires a Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree and a minimum of 8-12 years of related and direct experience in business program management area.
  • At this level, a graduate degree may be desirable with 4 years of related experience
  • Ability to flex leadership style across cultural differences in the APAC region
  • Demonstrated project management skills, with proven track record of leading broad, complex, and/or strategic programs combined with the ability to execute at tactical project-level activities and tasks.
  • Strong understanding and appreciation of business process and pain points in business areas. (preferably in High Tech or Biotech environment)
  • In-depth knowledge and experience leading cross-functional teams, with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Broad business and technical acumen and proven experience working effectively in a matrix organization and ability to collaborate effectively across geographies.
  • Integrate process, people, quality, and commitment-centric approach to getting work done - strong customer service orientation.
  • Ability to work with different cross-functional stakeholders to establish and ensure a reliable and productive working relationship. Strong partnering skills.
  • Will manage Program Management leaders in APAC -
  • Good written and oral communication skills including capacity to comfortably interface with senior leaders.
  • Exceptional skills in assessing, summarizing, and presenting business or operational priorities and decision-points for effective, timely and efficient management/executive decision-making.
  • Fluent user in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, SharePoint, and Teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • PMP Certification
  • Lean Six Sigma Certification
  • Worked within a Business PMO structure
  • Life science or medical device industry experience
Functional Description: Professional Individual Contributor

Performs commercial project completion using an internal and external customer perspective, typically from initiation through delivery. Oversees multiple projects, coordinate cross-functional teams through meetings and progress measurement activity which bring distinct, specific projects to completion both on time and within budget.

  • Having wide-ranging experience and uses professional concepts and knowledge of company objectives to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways.

Language Skills: Must be able to communicate effectively in English. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
