Team Summary
The Consumer Solutions group manages the deployment and optimization of Visa’s core products base consisting of Credit, Debit and Prepaid payments solutions together with associated Loyalty and Benefits platforms. The team is responsible for leading the Commercialisation of new innovative core products and solutions in Asia Pacific, ensuring that Visa payments solutions are the market-leading way for consumers to spend their money and manage their payments across the Asia-Pacific region.

What the Consumer Payment Products Sr. Manager does at Visa: The Sr. Manager, Consumer Payment Products will be responsible for co-driving the go-to-market (GTM) activities to deploy this new core consumer propositions across Asia Pacific. This role will be reporting to the Bundled Product Director, part of the Consumer Solutions Commercialisation team, responsible for the Go-to-Market & implementation of new Visa products and solutions in Asia Pacific. As Visa is committed to launch new innovative payment propositions for consumers, in a first phase, before products launch, the role-holder is expected to drive the required business and tech activities for a successful go-live target date. Going forward, as part of the core product team, the role-holder will be responsible for driving end-to-end development and execution of new card propositions in the region. In this capacity, the role will be responsible for developing a compelling commercial proposition for each market execution, market sizing, internal and external narrative, pricing and client-commercials. You will need to be highly collaborative, strong project management skills are required, as you will be the key interface between the market teams, global team and Visa AP Hub to ensure a successful product deployment. Why this is important to Visa Consumer Solutions are the key basis for Visa’s business in Asia-Pacific and encompass conventional card-based credit, debit and prepaid programs as well as newer fintech-linked solutions. Consumer Solutions span all life-stage and income segments across Visa’s Asia-Pacific markets from entry-level Prepaid and Debit products through to High-Net-Worth credit propositions and solutions, and this role will be instrumental in executing our strategy to address the opportunity. This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office two days a week, Tuesdays and Wednesdays with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

What you will need

  • 8-10 years of experience in the payments or strategy consulting industry with direct exposure to product development, product management & strategy
  • Direct experience in financial services, payments, fintechs and card portfolio management will be an advantage
  • Good balance between strategic thinking and detailed, flawless execution with attention to detail.
  • Sound business acumen, analytical skills and keen understanding of new technology payment business models and profitability drivers
  • Able to work independently, yet seamlessly integrate and manage diverse groups and functions organized within different organizational reporting lines
  • Proven experience in program and project management in a matrixed, multi-country, and multi-cultural environment. The ability to build and motivate a project team made up of participants from different functions is essential

Projects you will be a part of:
  • As new product propositions are currently in-building, the Product Sr. Manager will be supporting the Bundled Product Director and co-lead the ongoing activities to complete the product development, while building a strong commercial framework in tandem with in-market and functional teams
  • As part of the new Bundled Product team that lead the new product launch, you will be responsible for the product deployment in AP, the development of issuing clients’ sales pipeline, working in close collaboration with our Relationship Management and other client-facing teams.
  • Moreover, you will work closely with in-market teams to understand key growth barriers and develop mitigation strategy and at the same time, identify high potential new business opportunities to launch products and provide support from the launch
  • Work closely work with Visa Technology, Design & Architecture and CS teams to add new features to the product and customize the proposition based on the market needs (if needed)
  • Support Visa AP market teams to promote the product by building internal and external market narrative to upskill and empower Visa market teams
  • Development, roll out and monitoring of financial performance indicators for new product propositions, consisting of gross/net revenue targets, A&P budgets, product metrics
  • Execution of projects to bring Visa interchange fully up-to-date and fit for purpose, working closely with the Pricing & IRF team, in-market Product and Sales teams.
  • Provision of project and program management subject matter expertise (SME) to in-market, hub and global teams where necessary
