Job Description


The Senior Manager, Clinical Application Consultants and Strategic Alliance, will manage a team of Clinical Applications Consultants (CAC), supporting the products and services of the Clinical Next-Generation Sequencing Division (CSD) within APJ region. This individual will also lead the development of key strategic alliances through scientific educational efforts within the region. By combing clinical and scientific knowledge you will act as the key partner to the Medical Affairs organization. What will you do?

  • Ensure that required support services for CSD products are delivered in the most effective and efficient way related to analytical validation, customer satisfaction, leading resolution of customer issues and assay sales targets
  • Lead a team of Clinical Application Consultants to support key initiatives and drive assay sales within the region
  • While partnering with field applications team this role is responsible for leading the planning of pre and post selling activities for identified strategic accounts in the region (e.g. demo, installation, alignment with technical support, training, customer follow up, triage complaint management, escalation).
  • Partner with country sales leaders on appropriate to ensure we are complementing assay sales activities and driving growth
  • As a leader this role will be responsible for developing their team members by motivating and empowering, coaching for improvement, and ensuring they have the feedback needed to succeed in a changing business environment
  • Act as a mentor and role model to ensure effective communication and education to develop both product and clinical expertise
  • Ensure the customer is seeing the right support by validating new assays and escalating issues to delight our customers
  • Establish, develop, and maintain relationships with regional key opinion leaders (KOLs) in partnership with the APJ Medical Affairs and assist with advisory boards to gain valuable insights
  • Provide presentations and enter strategic discussions with scientific collaborators as it relates to medical and clinical, health economics and outcomes research data. The target audience for these discussions will be physicians, pathologists, oncologists as requested by field sales force and marketing teams
  • Identify collaborative educational opportunities and provide proactive scientific information supporting the adoption of Clinical Next-Generation Sequencing in oncology
  • Support education and training needs of CSD sales team members including disease state awareness, and territory tactical business planning aligned with broader company objectives by partnering with regional training specialist
  • Stay abreast of the clinical literature in NGS, specifically in Pathology and Oncology, distribute and educate the team as needed
  • Partner with the APJ Medical Affairs in the development of the medical education strategy and tactics and define the strategic direction and execution of it
  • Support relationships with Pharma and CRO working in Oncology space
  • Review relationships with existing internal partners and external customers related to the Business Units and ensure a professional handling on different levels. Function as mentor for crucial partner contacts to ensure interface with sales, marketing, and service both on an Asia Pacific & Japan level and corporate
  • Leadership: communicate a positive and enthusiastic vision to other team leaders and support staff to maintain a high individual and team motivation and performance
  • Ensure continuous up-to-date knowledge in own field and related areas. Ensure that customer related information is shared via Sales and Marketing Department
  • Partner with Medical Affairs to drive pharma sponsored testing initiatives and strategic partnerships in APJ.
  • Act as a key interface with strategic partners and internal teams in managing the alliance.
  • In partnership with Medical Affairs lead the implementation of clinical trials while working with customers to ensure our goals and results are achieved
How will you get here? Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in life sciences preferred with extensive knowledge in clinical workflows
xperience:
  • Minimum 10 years of industry commercial experience in Clinical Workflows
  • Experience in interacting with external clients and ability to present technical and clinical content to small and large group of audience
  • A proven track record in building and developing a high performing team, including remote team members, and delivering against objectives in an environment focused on high performance and high levels of intensity
  • Demonstrated high level of integrity and professional standards
  • Experience in working in a global and matrix organisation with a decentralised model (preferred)
  • Experience acquired across several companies (preferred)
