JOB TITLE: SR. SPECIALIST, WORKFORCE STRATEGY ORG UNIT NAME: CORPORATE HR LOCATION: SINGAPORE
JOB PURPOSE

Chief subject matter expert and lead for end-to-end global workforce strategy development for assigned functions. With a background in enterprise level workforce transformation, act as sole subject matter expert with focus on creating and updating global Workforce Strategies with multi-year action plans. Partner with global executive leaders across SABIC\xe2\x80\x99s functional strategies as well as facilitate better understanding of strategic priorities to inform their workforce strategy. Assess multi-year gaps and risks by drawing insights from workforce analytics, explore potential interventions and co-develop all-encompassing action plans across HRs value chain to address short and long term talent needs.
Closely collaborate with senior leaders and functional partners \xe2\x80\x93 including executives, Strategy, Finance and HR Business Partners, as well as, service providers. Facilitation and collaboration with people across SBUs, Strategy, CEO office, "Growth", Corporate Functions, HR CoEs as well as corporate HR teams to enable optimal execution of SWP processes including reviews of workforce plan implementation progress, across all relevant teams.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead development of Workforce Strategies designed to deliver tangible workforce transformations in collaboration with global stakeholders and functional partners \xe2\x80\x93 including senior executives across the business. Lead design of comprehensive, evidence-based approaches to collaboratively address short/long global workforce capability and capacity challenges, while aligning operational and strategic plans to the business priorities.
  • Deliver crucial business insights to global stakeholders through business strategy reviews, best practices, workforce analytics, and data visualization, leading to tangible and actionable business interventions
  • Facilitate the end-to-end strategic workforce planning process including needs identification, workforce segmentation, supply and demand analysis, scenario planning, gap analysis to develop mitigation strategies and action plans. Following which, they are converted by business leaders, HR COEs and HRBPs into workforce action plans with timelines and responsibilities and aligned with respective Business Executives. . Ensure action plans from endorsed strategies and relevant workforce interventions are integrated (e.g. recruitment, development), feasible (e.g. cost) and realistic (e.g. resources, timeframe) with accompanying tools/processes that support building an adaptive and agile workforce
  • As part of (follow through) process and governance, ensures that approved workforce strategy plans are monitored for achievement by the SBUs/Functions with the support of HRBPs, as well as changes thereafter are approved by the appropriate governance body/authority, through appropriate facilitations. In addition, facilitates executive reviews for monitoring execution of the Action Plans by HR COEs/HRBPs against timelines and also mechanism for approval of changes to actions in workforce strategy.
  • Provide real-time consultative, advisory and project/change management expertise to key stakeholders and partners, throughout key milestones and deliverables of the process, while ensuring global consistency in delivering planning activities
  • Mentor and coach other SWP colleagues in Strategic Workforce Planning methadology and workforce strategy execution processes. They should especially be able to facilitate workshops to help the business leaders articulate their long term demands based on business, financial and operating drivers envisaged in their long term strategic/financial plans
  • Support capability building of HR partners and key focal points of business through coaching/mentoring on SWP-related projects and ad-hoc business requests - as needed

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Masters degree in Business, Finance, Commerce, Business Analytics, HR or related field (incl. Finance and Operations)
  • Minimum 15 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in related fields, especially related to Management Consulting (Business transformation, Finance or Commercial Operations)
  • Industry experience in Chemicals would be ad added advantage
  • Proven experience developing and implementing a SWP process in a complex organization, highly preferred
  • Demonstrated consulting experience working with business/HR or Finance leadership, especially related to Business Transformation and / or implementation of large Strategic Initiatives or Processes (preferably ones that involve some elements of quantitative analysis such as FP&A).
  • Significant Program Management, Program Governance and Change Management experience required, to be able to implement SWP initiatives and strategies
  • Strong Facilitation skills required
  • Business Experience, Commercial Context and acumen is strongly prefered
  • Demonstrated experience in collaborating and managing activities across various teams and business units in different functions or geographies
  • Demonstrated ability to innovate and enhance existing processes; coach different stakeholders in areas of expertise
  • Understanding and/or context of talent strategies and experience working with integrated HR processes designed to attract, develop, and retain an engaged workforce is highly preferred
  • Experience leading at least two of the following areas: workforce or strategic planning, human capital strategy, consulting, HR business partner, project management, data analytics.
