Job Description


The Big 4 APAC Technology Strategy Lead works with the US team focused on Big 4 Professional Services firms and coordinates local teams across APAC to gather data, collaborate on performance metrics, and identify risks.Acting as the customer-facing CTO for the APAC region, this role partners with customers to provide innovative solutions in new industries and integrate Microsoft technology into their business.Maintains strong knowledge of Microsoft\'s products, solutions, and strategy while focusing on enabling and preparing the customer\'s Security and AI platforms. Serves as the customer\'s advocate internally and advises on gaps where Microsoft solutions could be beneficial. Contributes to long-term technical and business roadmaps, identifying customer issues, creating demand, and spotting opportunities.Engages enterprise customers in strategic discussions around Microsoft technologies compared to competitors.Orchestrates internal teams and partners to ensure adequate technical resources for demand generation and aligns account planning with consumption goals.Responsibilities:Education and Thought LeadershipUtilizes readiness resources for customer technology adoption at national and regional levels. Innovates to meet customer capacity, maximize reach, and drive engagement on the Microsoft platform. Supports customer training initiatives with the Account Executive (AE) and Enterprise Skilling Initiative (ESI) teams. Influences customer technology engagement by motivating technical resources towards business transformation. Delivers industry/technology briefings to customer Chief X Officers (CXOs) and their teams.Technology Sales: Demand Generation and OrchestrationIdentifies customer issues, creates demand, and uncovers new solutions. Qualifies opportunities for product and solution sales, collaborating with technical teams like the Specialist Team Unit (STU) and Customer Success Unit (CSU). Engages key stakeholders alongside the Account Executive to generate new demands and showcases the benefits of AI and Industrial Metaverse. Leads Account Strategy Envisioning (ASE) sessions to deliver outcomes for the customer through joint envisioning efforts. Manages consumption pipeline and orchestrates MCEM lifecycle progression with STU and CSU teams.Technology Strategy FormulationProvides analysis of customer situations and advises on gaps suited for Microsoft solutions. Links Microsoft\'s strategy with customer needs, developing multi-horizon technological and business roadmaps. Aligns customer business objectives with Industry Sales Kits and Solution Plays to plan for and drive Microsoft cloud consumption. Motivates technical resources towards customer transformation and delivers regular industry/technology briefings to CXOs and their teams.Differentiated Value PropositionEngages enterprise customers to highlight the strategic relationship between Microsoft products and competitor solutions, supporting customer business goals. Acts as a technology mentor to senior leaders, advising on solutions that align with customer needs. Leads new opportunities, accelerating customer transformations with digital technologies.Customer and Industry InsightsCombines business and industry insights to forecast and develop recommendations for managing accounts. Challenges customer assumptions with constructive dialogue and partners with them to integrate Microsoft technology. Synthesizes global best practices and deep industry expertise to tackle broader business challenges and deliver solutions.Trusted AdvisorAdvises customer stakeholders on the benefits of embedding security via Microsoft Security and Zero Trust narratives. Advocates for the customer internally, providing feedback and insights to internal teams. Builds and maintains broad knowledge of Microsoft\'s product landscape and business priorities, coordinating with internal experts to enhance planning and understanding of the customers\' business strategy.Mapping and Account PlanningSupports customer specialists in selling Microsoft offerings across their business. Contributes to stakeholder mapping and coverage plans. Coordinates internal teams and partners to ensure resource adequacy for demand generation. Drives account planning and review processes, aligning with consumption goals and capturing input in MSX D365. Coaches internal teams on customer technology profiles and strategies.Qualifications:

  • Bachelor\'s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business or related field
  • AND 5+ years technical consulting, technical consultative selling, practice building, or related technical/sales/industry experience OR equivalent experience.
Preferred qualifications
  • 3+ years experience leading technical, support, and/or partner teams
  • 3+ years experience in business consulting, consultative selling, or change management
  • 3+ years experience in digital transformation or using technology to drive customer business outcomes.
