Senior Support Engineer Cisco Security (CCNP Security Certified)Senior Support Engineer - Cisco SecurityFulltime EmploymentLocation: Philippines - BGC Taguig City, On-siteTo expand our current international "Follow the Sun" support team, we are looking for candidates for the position of Senior Support Engineer on Cisco Security technologies.Job descriptionAs a Senior Support Engineer, you will provide expert technical assistance to our global customers and internal team members with high-level system and networking requests.As a member of the international Group Support organization, the Senior Support Engineer will provide remote support from our Manila office which is one of the "Follow the Sun" support centres for the Group organization, based in the Netherlands. You will work independently and as part of a team to answer service desk calls, urgently analyse technical issues, address escalated issues, and troubleshoot over the phone/onsite/via remote access. This position will require flexible work hours for systems deployment and troubleshooting activities.What are your responsibilities?You are an experienced Engineer, familiar with Cisco networking and security best practices, especially on the Cisco Security portfolio. You have a thorough knowledge of Networking and Infrastructure principles. You will support various customers by analysing error-reports, logfiles and network disruptions are responsible for planned changes, updates and upgrades. Partly responsible for proposing new solutions to the customer. In addition, managing (part of) the IT infrastructure of customers in order to guarantee further stability and continuity. In addition to good cooperation with your colleagues, you are partly responsible for building up knowledge and experience within the international team.Detailed statement of duties and responsibilities Work independently and with approved vendors to resolve network related issues; Creates and updates all documentation as it pertains to the current state of network architecture; Functional knowledge on how to connect public and private networks while not compromising network stability and security; Fundamental knowledge of GDPR and PII requirements; Engaging in high-level analysis and troubleshooting of network infrastructure; Analysing, categorizing and registering service calls; Performs all work in a cooperative and professional manner with other Team members; Provides technical expertise, direction and leadership to other team members; Performs research and analysis on all requests for problem resolution; Performs planned changes, updates and upgrades on customer networks; Performs other related duties as requested by supervisor. As a Support Engineer you are reporting to the Service Desk Manager Willingness to participate and share in rotating on-call duties.Qualifications required at hire Proven experience with designing, configuring and troubleshooting various Cisco Security products like ISE, Umbrella SIG, Secure Endpoint Secure email, Secure Access (DUO), Secure Network Analytics, Secure Firewall, etc.; Solid understanding of network routers and switches; Experience with Network monitoring and management tools; Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing; Ability to work independently and in a team setting; Extensive knowledge and experience in creating and updating Network Visio Diagrams.What is your profile? You have completed a Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science, Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering (or related technical degree); You must have a valid Cisco CCNP Security certificate, or higher (i.e. CCIE) Minimum of 1 to 3 years of work experience as a Network or Support Engineer; Preferably ITIL Foundation certified; Demonstrable knowledge of various Cisco Security solutions like Umbrella, Cisco Secure Endpoint, ISE, SIG, Secure email, DUO, Secure Firewall, etc., at an advanced level; You have good communication and analytical skills;
