WHAT THIS POSITION IS ABOUT - PURPOSE:

  • The role will be responsible for the overall management of SI & BA for JTI Singapore to gain an in-depth knowledge of the market, trade and consumers, and thereby support the strategic decision making for the business.
WHAT WILL YOU DO - RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Market Performance Tracking & Analysis
  • Manage the Nielsen Retail Audit data delivery and reports in line with regional requirements through close collaboration with Nielsen and GBS.
  • Analyze key trends, identify portfolio gaps and opportunities, and share insights with key stakeholders.
  • Quantitative Research
  • Lead quantitative studies to monitor overall market dynamics such as brand performance, perception, consumer behavior, pricing elasticity, etc.
  • Qualitative Research
  • Lead qualitative studies to gain in-depth understanding of category & consumers, to address specific business questions, and test new concepts.
  • Define the best methodology & sampling to uncover meaningful insights.
  • Market Modelling & Forecast
  • Support 3-year business planning based on industry & segment forecast on commercial KPIs.
  • Monitor key economic indicators as well as FMCG/retail trends to develop more robust outlook of the industry.
  • Budget Management
  • Lead budget negotiations and annual contracts with research agencies, to optimize SI/BA investment while ensuring high quality service delivery
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR - REQUIREMENTS:
  • University degree or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in marketing research in either research agency or FMCG company or both
  • Fluent in oral and written English
  • Good presentation skills being able to engage with senior management
  • Good knowledge of retail audit analytics as well as market research methodologies
  • Ability to think high-level strategy and collaborate with various business functions to generate actionable insights
  • Experience in market modelling and volume forecast preferred
  • Industry knowledge a plus
