JOB DESCRIPTIONDepartment: Procurement DepartmentReports to: ManagerFunctional Relationships with: Various Engineering departments, Procurement departments from other divison companies & Japan HQ, suppliers & vendorsPOSITION PROFILEBased in: Singapore (Tuas); The successful candidate will be part of our Procurement team responsible to drive value-adding and cost saving activities relating to Li-on battery production material. He/she will be collaborating with various stakeholders to source, evaluate, develop and negotiate with new and existing partners, and ensure timely reporting of activites. He/she will also be supporting the introduction/renewal of mold/tooling and capacity preparation for future expansion.KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Manage interface with internal and external stakeholders for VACD activities like introduction Prepare accurate and timely reporting of monthly cost savings Sourcing, negotiation and evaluating prospective suppliers Maintain supplier tooling life, tooling leadtime and capacity preparation for future expansion Conduct supplier audit and yearly assessment Cost structure preparation and analysis, price trend data prepration Manage PO issuance, monitor shipments and delivery dates Undertake any ad hoc roles assigned by superiorABILITY/COMPETENCY REQUIRED To hold Degree in SUpply Chain/Business Administration or any Engineering related field Possess strong initiative, independence and adaptability To have innovative thinking, analytical skills and strong mindset for change Excellent interpersonal communication skills, analytical skills, project management skills, and troubleshooting skills Keen to explore new ideals/concepts and capacity to drive initiatives, optimise processes and continuous improvement
