About The Role:

Solving business problems through marketing communications lens is an interdisciplinary challenge. We are looking for a strategy intern who has enough curiosity and courage to solve a wide range of problems. You are not expected to know everything but have enough drive to show up and find answers when faced with a problem. Adequate support and mentorship will be provided along the way.

About EdelmanNEXT

EdelmanNEXT, is an enriched internship program that provides work experience, training, and mentorship for students. We empower and equip our interns with the best skills to excel in their careers.

This program is a full-time, 6-month internship (Jul to Dec 2023), and features a well-rounded curriculum where you will be doing:

\xc2\xb7 Provide support to the Strategy and Business Teams

\xc2\xb7 Assist in audience / market research activities

\xc2\xb7 Unearth insights in service of defining strategic goals and objectives

\xc2\xb7 Perform competitive analysis and identify gaps and opportunities for client projects / campaigns

\xc2\xb7 Learn how data insights are turned into strategic direction

\xc2\xb7 Understand how strategic conclusions and actionable recommendations are structured and presented

\xc2\xb7 Hone market research skills in agency environment

\xc2\xb7 Understands the various research tools available and actively use them (Newswhip, Brandwatch, GWI, Klear, Emplifi etc) to bring information and insights for better, more data-driven briefs

\xc2\xb7 Open to learn new tools and research sources

\xc2\xb7 Be a champion of one channel - IG or Tik Tok or Telegram or any other of their choosing

\xc2\xb7 Supports in the crafting of inspiration stimuli such as case studies, analogies and other campaigns to prompt new ideas and thinking

\xc2\xb7 Enjoy using online listening tools and be able to leverage them to identify relevant conversations and influencers and potential trends

What we are looking for:

\xc2\xb7 Preferably a student or graduate candidate in Marketing or relevant field

\xc2\xb7 Keen interest in Public Relations, Digital Marketing and Communications

\xc2\xb7 Good research and communication skills

\xc2\xb7 Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint

\xc2\xb7 Background / Experience in Digital Marketing is a Plus
