A leading logistics company is seeking a Supply Chain Solution Development Expert. In this job, you work closely with account managers for the respective customers to identify, qualify and pitch compelling value propositions to new and existing logistics customers.

About the Supply Chain Solution Development Expert Role:
In this position, it will be a customer-facing role and will involve working with commercial pursuit teams for nominated customers - from the key client portfolio. The role will also contribute to the continued improvement and innovation in the supply chain development team and the larger commercial organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, solution engineering, capabilities, regions, to develop and execute vertical strategies that support business objectives while developing thought leadership in the sector
  • Play the role of subject-matter expert with KAM team to assist in offering E2E solutions for customers
  • Analyse logistics data and performance metrics to identify opportunities for optimisation and cost reduction. Conduct audits, develop and implement corrective action plans.
  • Lead the identification of customer\'s Supply Chain needs/ pain points and develop tailored the value proposition to fit customer needs
  • Develop and implement logistics and supply chain strategies that align with business objectives and meet the unique needs of the vertical, including new sub-verticals, products, and solutions
  • Lead analysis, design, and transformation of supply chain management processes
  • Perform analysis on customer supply chain
To perform well as the Supply Chain Solution Development Expert, you will need to be able to be strong and effective communicator, along with a high level of management skills.

Key Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualification in procurement and supply chain management or relevant discipline
  • Minimum of 10 years in supply chain management and logistics preferably within a 3PL, logistics consulting firm and/or global corporation
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative management style
  • Proactive and independent in making decisions
  • Good coordination and timely reporting skills
  • Good financial and business acumen
  • Strong stakeholder management
  • Analytical mindset and organised work approach
  • Proven experience in contract negotiations; vendor management
  • Analytical and market research skills
