About the Department
The Technology and Operations function is comprised of five teams of specialists with distinct capabilities: business partnership, technology, operations, risk governance and planning support and services. We work closely together to harness the power of technology to support our physical and digital banking services and operations. This includes developing, centralising and standardising technology systems as well as banking operations in Singapore and overseas branches.

Job Responsibilities
The Development lead is responsible to review and sign-off various development aspects (e.g.: user experience, reliability, maintainability, security and performance). The person must have strong command of the J2EE technology and should be able to organise and drive technical discussion working with vendors and various stakeholders.
The successful candidate should be having 12+ years of hands-on development working experience on various J2EE and Oracle technologies.

  • Perform analysis, design, development and testing of business requirements for trade systems
  • Perform end-to-end design and delivery of solutions including integration with event and data sources, and other banking systems for delivery and fulfilment
  • Work with business counterparts to understand and translate their business requirements into solutions and services aligned with Trade transformation strategy
  • Work with Enterprise Architects, Infrastructure Architects, Security Architects to ensure solution design complies with design principles, security and control standards
  • Work with and support the Project / Program Managers in the planning and delivery of projects for all trade initiatives. This includes the initial pre-project phase of requirements analysis, solutioning, estimation and costing to the project delivery phase
  • Plan, monitor and support delivery of the solutions and capabilities to meet requirements within allocated budget and schedule
  • Monitor and manage risks & issues related to development quality and resolve them on timely fashion
  • Work with individuals across different application teams to manage dependencies in the solution
  • Work with Run-the-Bank teams to support day-to-day operations of the applications
  • This role requires Trade domain expertise and experience
Job Requirements
  • At least 10 years' Experience of multi-country Trade Finance / FSCM / Documentary Trade IT System rollout
  • At least 15 years of experience in every stage of software development lifecycle. Relevant Technical & PM certification will be plus, including knowledge of technologies like J2EE, Oracle, Unix, MQ etc
  • Experience in effective planning, execution, monitoring End-to-end technical activities and reporting to senior management
  • Experience in managing Technology vendor and Business stakeholders from various ASEAN countries and have appreciation of local IT regulations
  • Experience in actual systems development work, with prior coding, functional specifications and technical specifications and systems development and testing experience
  • Experience in implementing large-scale, highly available applications and/or other large project implementation preferred

  • Good problem solving and analytical skills
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or similar domain
  • Related professional/technical experience and skills
