Job Description

Responsibilities:

Administer, monitor, and optimize Linux server performance. Provide 24x7 on-call support for critical production systems on a rotating basis. Coordinate with vendors and internal support teams for problem resolution, upgrades, and implementations. Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective measures. Deliver technical assistance for application and hardware issues. Manage storage provisioning, expansion, and LUNs using Pure Storage. Apply timely OS updates, patches, and perform security hardening. Perform user administration and access management tasks. Support backup and disaster recovery operations using enterprise backup systems.
Project-Specific Expertise:


Enterprise OS Management (RHEL/Linux) System configuration, maintenance, troubleshooting, and performance tuning. File system management and storage allocation. Directory Services & Authentication LDAP and Kerberos configuration and management. Identity management implementation. Patch & Update Management Experience with Red Hat Satellite or similar tools. Planning and execution of system updates. OS Security & Compliance OS hardening based on CIS benchmarks. Security patching and compliance auditing. Monitoring & Management Tools Deployment of system monitoring agents. Performance monitoring and troubleshooting. Automation & Scripting Scripting for task automation and scheduling (Shell, Ansible). Virtualization & Cloud Experience with hypervisors and virtual machines. Basic knowledge of public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), load balancers, firewalls, and OS clustering.
Backup & Disaster Recovery:


Implementation of OS-level backup solutions. Disaster recovery planning and testing. Storage Technologies Familiarity with Pure Storage. LUN provisioning and management.

Requirements:

Must be eligible for security clearance in Singapore. Minimum 5 years of experience in Linux server administration, particularly RHEL. Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) preferred. Experience in Linux clustering and VM-level Linux clusters. Proficient in OS installation, configuration, performance tuning, security hardening, and system auditing. Knowledge of ITIL processes: Incident, Change, and Configuration Management. Strong automation skills using Shell scripting and Ansible. Basic exposure to public cloud platforms (AWS & Azure) preferred.
