Position Summary: This IAC Technology team within Lubricants Products Technology provides lubrication solutions for passenger and commercial vehicles that create value for Infineum, our customer, and the end user. These solutions enable the advancement of engine technology in ways that allow the world to keep moving with reduced environmental impact.

This Team Leader is accountable for assisting the IAC Technology manager in leading the activities of the global team including in the planning, delivering, and stewarding of projects. This Team Leader also leads a group of technologists and chemists in Asia Pacific, working with the Technology Manager to further develop the colleagues within the team. The role is an excellent opportunity to demonstrate leadership of a technical team working on a diverse set of projects and activities

Key Outputs: What we can expect from you

• Management, coaching, and development of direct reports balancing individual and team collective needs
• Development of a regional sub-team that balances its own autonomy with connectedness to the larger global team
• Development and deployment of innovative solutions to formulation challenges though an understanding of qualification tests and their complex responses to additive components/formulations
• Technical guidance of the regional team’s project portfolio
• Prioritization of competing projects within the boundaries of time, budget, and resources
• Customer technical support including but not limited to product recommendations, value propositions, and technical advice
• Preparation and delivery of presentations external and internal stakeholders that influence toward preferred outcomes
• Supporting the IAC Technology Manager, assuming addition responsibilities as assigned consistent with the intent of this role

• Bachelor’s Degree in relevant disciplines i.e. Chemical Engineering or Chemistry
• Ideally 7 or more years of relevant working experience in related field
• Strong commitment to safety and Infineum core values
• Formulation experience in specialty chemicals, and ideally, Infineum crankcase additive packages
• In-depth knowledge of the IAC customer’s product lines and technology processes
• Curiosity, an inspiration to understand why and an ability to apply different tactics to solve problems
• Analytical skills, a keenness to explore technical data, form sound technical judgements and test hypotheses
• Ability to lead multiple projects and other technical activities simultaneously, and to tight deadlines
• Strong interpersonal, networking, and communication skills with demonstrated ability to work effectively in teams and to develop external relationships
