TECHNICAL BUYER
Position Purpose Technical Buyer is responsible for identifying and procuring goods and services that an organization requires to ensure that the company operational needs are met, taking into account the price, quality, and delivery and to ensure continuity of supply.
Accountabilities

• Manage purchase requisitions, purchase orders and supplier acknowledgements
• Gather all appropriate data needed for quotation
• Identify cost reduction opportunities
• Analyze quotations received, select or recommend suppliers, and schedule deliveries
• Carefully monitor deliveries and any past due date shipments
• Facilitate invoice resolution with suppliers, and accounts payable
• Develops new supply sources where vendors and suppliers are inadequate
• Keeps the end-user updated on status of orders, current or anticipated problems, and circumstances which may affect delivery, quality, and/or price
• Builds relationships with suppliers and manage their performance
• Ensuring right materials arrive on time to avoid factory operation delay or line stoppage
• Coordinates purchasing activities with manufacturing, planning, and engineering departments to acquire inventory in a cost effective and timely manner
• Provide feedback and recommendations of processes and systems for continuous improvement for more efficient processes
• Handle basic issues and problems, and refer more complex issues to supervisor

• Bachelor’s Degree in any business, engineering or science course. Graduate of a Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, or Engineering is an advantage.
• At least 1 year purchasing experience
• Adept knowledge in Microsoft Office
• Good level communication skills (oral and written) for interacting with technical & non-technical people via email or phone correspondence in fluent English
• Can provide data in an efficient and understandable manner
• Capable of simultaneously using various systems/tools to complete requests
• Form inclusive, collaborative, cross-functional communities
• Drive end-to-end delivery
