Responsibilities:

• Responsible for supporting the growth of the Power and Renewables Department, especially in the development of Overseas and Singapore Projects related with Power Generation and Transmission.
• Lead and manage the development and implementation of HVDC Converter Station Projects to enable the transmission of Renewable Power to Singapore.
• Lead and manage the interface with internal and external stakeholders and with related Authorities and Agencies to ensure the development and implementation of HVDC Converter Station Projects.
• Manage the HSE, Budget and Legal Compliance of the HVDC Converter Stations Projects.
• Support the Power and Renewable Department in whichever duties and responsibilities assigned related with the development of Overseas and Singapore Projects related with Power Generation and Transmission
• Lead the source and selection of preferred HVDC Converter Stations OEM for transmission of Renewable Power to Singapore
• Define with OE and selected HVDC Converter Station OEM the technical specifications of the HVDC Converter Stations
• Follow up with OE and selected HVDC Converter Stations OEM the detail engineering phase ensuring compliance with Technical Specifications and relevant legal requirements
• Ensure execution of the HVDC Converter Station Project within Budget and with strict compliance of HSE, Environmental, Quality and Keppel relevant policies
• Lead the engagement with local Authorities and Agencies in Singapore and Overseas to ensure Grid compliance of the HVDC Converter Station
• Ensure proper coordination between the HVDC Converter Station Project and the rest of the Keppel stakeholders involved in the development of the Power Generation and Transmission Projects.
• Direct participation in a good team environment within Power and Renewables Department.
• Contribute to Business Continuity Plan.
• Participate to implement a Quality Management System as required.
• To undertake additional duties and responsibilities as deemed necessary by the General Manager Technical and Operations.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor or Masters in Electrical Engineering Degree from an accredited university.
• Additional qualifications in Management Administration, Safety, Project or Quality Management would be an advantage.
• At least 8 years relevant Electrical Engineering experience. Detailed knowledge and experience of modern Health, Safety and Environmental practices
• Good understanding, knowledge and experience of HVDC Converter Stations either in the Design and/or Construction phases.
• Working Conditions - Main Office site with air-conditioned office work station.
• Available to travel overseas frequently and to be posted in overseas position for defined periods of time
