Monitoring of vessel performance and providing instructions/technical support and guidance to technical managers. Planning and supporting the external manager during Dry-dock and major repairs Schedule and unscheduled maintenance repairs Survey, audit, and inspections. Inspection of vessel at Dry dock as feasible. Plan early with robust specs, quotations, yard selection as per trade, execution, and final cost. Be responsible for OPEX, technical budget, cost control, and optimization of the technical operations. Maintenance of monthly KPI including budget, lubes, incident, flag, PSC, SIRE, fuel consumption, PMS including defects, overdue jobs. Off hire/planned and unplanned, vessel inspections including navigational audit, class-Coc, memo, overdue certificates, crewing overdue, purchase-number of requisitions raised. Oversee that all items pertaining to health, safety, security, and pollution prevention are regularly checked to achieve high standards of safety. To carry out periodical inspection of vessels, formulate an up-gradation plan and follow-up progress with the external manager and the vessel. Support chartering and operation staff in technical advice for commercially operated vessels on ad hoc basis. Support, research and take part in new building projects. Follow up with managers on maintaining crew quality including interaction with crew during visits onboard. Requirement: - more than 5 years' experience as Technical Superintendent for Oil and or Chemical Tanker. - more than 5 years' sailing experience working onboard as engineer, preferably First Engineer or above.
