We are looking for a dynamic candidate to take up the post of Technical Officer, Education Services.

Essential Job Functions

The Technical Officer, Education Services, supports the development and delivery of impactful and unique STEM learning experiences for students, teachers, public and families by ensuring quality and timely set-up of labs that will drive visitorship and generate revenue for Science Centre Singapore.

You will also be responsible for resource management, lab set up and materials preparation. You will assist in the development and delivery of quality programmes
and to assist in ensuring the smooth operations of projects/events.

Requirements

Candidates with at least 3 years of relevant experience, with good knowledge in physical science, engineering or its equivalent is preferred. Knowledge of concepts in science/technology (mainly physical/mechanical/electrical)/chemical and the ability to apply such knowledge in practical, engineering-type work is a plus.

The candidate should have knowledge/skills in mechanics and electronics e.g., handling mechanical workbench tools, 3D printing, laser cutting, preferably with some experience with prototyping and trouble shooting. Those with computer literacy in programming or CAD and knowledge of safe lab management practices will have an added advantage.

The candidate must possess good decision making and communication skills. In addition, he/she must be adaptable, detail-oriented and a team player.
