What You’ll Do:

  • Perform meter accuracy tests and Current Transformer (CT) testing using automated test systems
  • Plan and schedule meter testing and metering equipment maintenance program to ensure KPIs are met.
  • Perform physical and meter accuracy evaluation for meter tenders in accordance with technical specifications and relevant IEC standard.
  • Manage and delegate tasks / roster duties to a group of technicians for daily operations in accordance to IEC 17025.
  • Familiarise with standard operational procedures (SOPs) for meter test lab activities and perform competency assessments and regular checks to ensure compliance.
  • Prepare training materials and conduct technical training assessment for technicians to ensure the skills competency of each authorized persons for the test equipments in the lab are kept up-to-date.
  • Perform first level triage on equipment issues / faults and work with equipment suppliers on timely resolution.
  • Implement and be accountable for quality control measures as per the quality management system framework under IEC 17025.
  • Responsible for and achieve continuous work improvement processes to increase efficiency and streamline daily operations.
  • Collate statistics and perform analysis to draw up recommendations to improve meter quality and/or operating processes in the electricity meter test laboratory.
  • Perform failure analysis on returned meters and prepare investigation reports for internal / external stakeholders.
  • Monitor and track inventory movements so as to come up with forecast schedules for weekly production outputs (meter test) to meet usage rates from field teams.
  • Strong in documentation and procedural write-ups for the purposes of SAC-SINGLAS surveillance audits, internal and external audits, internal documentation etc.
  • Perform procurement for the purposes of purchases for material and services required by electricity meter test laboratory.
  • Document and record meter returns for disposal purposes.
  • Update and maintain software and system inventory used in the laboratory.
  • Update and maintain records for RMA meter process and liaise with vendors and meters store for meter return logistics.



What You’ll Need:
  • Diploma in Electrical/ Electronic / Power Engineering from a local Polytechnic
