Roles and Responsibilities
- Responsible for the daily operations and maintenance of the workshop assigned
- Supervise students\' projects and provide technical supervision to students on the construction and prototyping of the machines and equipment at the Modelmaking Workshop
- Provide technical supervision and guidance to support students on their project works, including the use of laser cutting facilities, to experiment and produce scaled and full- scale prototypes
- Conduct induction classes on safety and machine and workshop usage
- Maintain inventory of facilities and monitor usage of machines and equipment to users
- Ensure users adhere strictly to rules and regulations pertaining to use of the School\'s facilities
- Perform other ad hoc duties as required and assigned by the Associate Dean
- Minimum qualification of diploma in related discipline with at least 5 years of relevant working experience
- Must be workshop-trained and possess 3D practical model-making skills
- Comfortable working in a workshop space
- Good working knowledge of materials such as wood, metal or digital printing and other manufacturing techniques
- Proficient with software skills, especially in AutoCAD, Rhinoceros, Corel Draw and Illustrator
- A team player with good interpersonal skills and the ability to work with and guide students
