Description:
The Technical Sales Specialist is responsible for the overall execution of all sales and marketing plans, specifically, coverage plans, promotional strategies and cycle or quarter projects. The position must ensure that all activities performed and decisions made are aligned with the company's and the division's objectives through coordination with the Sales and Distribution Senior Manager. If there are any deviations from strategies, these must be coordinated with the immediate supervisor.
The TSS is responsible for establishing and developing relationships with decision makers of the target market nationwide. The position is also responsible for the sales coverage and servicing of target market accounts. He/She participates in the preparation and training of co-marketing or distributor/dealer counterparts.
For internal business concerns that are beyond the AH Division's scope, the position coordinates with Finance and Operations. For external business concerns on the other hand, the position coordinates with heads, decision makers, and opinion leaders in the Swine industry other members of the respective dealer network in the territory.
Duties & Responsibilities:
o Actively sell and promote the company, products and services to the target market
oConducts, sets up, monitors, analyzes, interprets, and communicates the results of trial protocols.
oCreates, maintains, and updates customer profiles, directories, customer databases, customer marketing plans, and rolling sales forecasts.
oEnsures that sales targets are achieved.
oCreates expense budget proposals for scientific and sales promotion activities (e.g. technical/product seminars with swine raiser associations roundtable discussions with veterinary practitioners, consultants, and animal health workers etc.) and takesthe necessary actions to stay within the approved budgets.
oEstablishes and develops close and intimate relationships with decision makers (farm owners, veterinary practitioners, animal health workers, purchasers, acts payable clerks and people involved in the buying centers of the middle and lower segment of the swine market).
oValidates and documents customer product complaints and, when appropriate, facilitates the dispatch, destruction or disposal of defective products.
Re quirements :
oExtends or facilitates herd health surveillance and files herd health status reports.
oEnsures that all reports, including expense and sales reports, for review purposes, are submitted on time.
oGathers reports relevant to market intelligence on the following:
1.Customers:
.Production type/s and scale of operations
.Production costs
.Manpower developments and movements
2.Competition:
.Products, prices and services
.Activities, especially on promotions
.Manpower development and movement.
3.Distribution
.Feedback on company products and services
.Manpower development and movement
oWorks closely with the dealer in the specific assigned territory and services the major service accounts assigned to the dealer.
o Creates diagnosis and presents recommendations
oAssesses production systems
oSets up, runs, and monitors field trials
oCan be assigned to other territories or districts as deemed necessary.
