As Sales Specialist - Singapore, this role will have primary responsibility for inside sales and field sales for the assigned territory. The desired candidate should be a self starter who is focused on customer success.

Responsibilities

  • Working in a matrix environment, the person will drive sales growth, by developing new customers and growing the opportunity pipeline in Singapore.
  • Perform inside sales activities (for Singapore and Malaysia market) as well as field sales for assigned territory.
  • Qualify and assign marketing leads to field sales; Respond to direct web sales inquiries.
  • Utilize telephone and electronic sales communication methodologies (email, phone calls, whatsapp, etc) and customer sales visiting to increase market coverage.
  • Meet quarterly and annual sales revenue target.
  • Assist in marketing activities when requested.
  • Partner with Field Sales, Business Development, Marketing, Service counterparts to drive business.
  • Interpret and understand customer needs and proactively create business opportunities and represent Waters in all sales-oriented activities.
  • Utilize Waters' internal Compass CRM database as a tool for tracking sales activities, open opportunities and campaign follow-up initiatives.
  • Deliver concise, relevant reports and updates on activities performed
  • Occasional traveling to the specified sales territory to support customer visits.
Qualifications

Education:
  • Master or Bachelor's degree in scientific area such as chemistry, biology, biochemistry or life science
Skills:
  • Action oriented and eager to achieve results
  • Sound communication and presentation skills
  • Highly organized / well-prepared / time management skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a good listener
  • Matured disposition, positive attitude and strong sense of commitment
  • Adaptive to a dynamic and ever-changing environment
  • Technical background in analytical technologies, especially Mass Spectrometer will be advantage.
