Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

o Functional Support:

o Understand business needs and translate them into technical requirements.


o Analyze and design for new enhancements and/or existing functionalities.


o Data mining and testing to ensure new enhancements and/or existing functionalities to meet business needs.


o Work with project leads, users and developers to improve processes and functionality.

o Technical Support:

o Assist with Java application development and troubleshooting after post-implementation.


o Write and optimize SQL queries for reporting and data analysis.


o Support client project leads and users with technical issues and work on improving system performance.

o Problem Solving:

o Identify and fix technical issues related to Java/Cobol applications and SQL databases after post-implementation .


o Help analyze operational problems and suggest improvements.

o Teamwork:

o Work closely with both technical teams and business project leads/users to ensure smooth communication.


o Contribute to system improvements and process automation.

Skills and Requirements:

Knowledge of Java and Cobol Mainframe programming Experience with SQL databases and query writing. Good functional business analysis skills and attention to detail. Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong and good communication skills to work with both technical and non-technical teams such as Client Project Leads and Users. A team player who is eager to learn and grow.

Optional 'Good to Have' Skills:

Experience with Enterprise Java-related backend frameworks (e.g., Spring, Hibernate, JPA). Experience with frontend UI development, particularly with React and Typescript. Experience with Microsoft Excel VBA and Excel Macros.

Qualifications:

1-2 years of experience working with Java, Cobol and SQL. 1 years of experience in Implementation (SDLC) and Change Request Related. 1 years of experience in Operation/BAU Support. Experience in technical support or a similar role is a plus.

Note: Open to non - cobol profiles but MUST willing to learn Cobol
