Job Description

*This is a SG United Mid Career Pathway Attachment Position for Singaporeans above 40 years old*

Responsibilities:

• Write and produce proposals relating to our client\xe2\x80\x99s tech inventions or new tech-related business venture. The proposal will be used by clients to get stakeholder approval for funding the invention/new venture, or to get internal go-ahead of the tech development/venture to kickstart. The proposals would have to succinctly describe how The tech works, its USPs, other competitive offerings in the market, barriers to entry that make replication of tech difficult by competitors, addressable market, commercialisation and distribution strategies, etc.

• Initiate and tactfully lead meetings (physical or virtual) with clients to understand the tech they are trying to develop or venture into, be proactive in asking questions to get all the info needed to do up proposal

• Analyse each client\xe2\x80\x99s unique requirements, and conceive strategic direction and angle for The proposal that would make it The most compelling for The stakeholders, and proactively prepare for meetings beforehand (training will be provided on this)

• Be proactive and interested in doing independent research and learning of new technology (eg. fintech, AI, clean tech, blockchain, electrical engineering, biotech, agritech, and more)

• Conduct research to establish factual content and to obtain other necessary information

• Checking style, grammar and accuracy of content, arranging for any necessary revisions and checking proof copies before submission to client

• Do follow-up work to revise proposal based on client feedback, produce follow-on materials (like pitch decks based on The proposal), and present proposal alongside client to the stakeholders if needed

Competencies:

• Develop strong ability to learn new technologies fast, and express technical information in a layman and easily-understanding way in written form

• Develop an eye for professional and effective content layout, design and formatting of proposal

• Develop skills in google docs, google sheet, google slides

• Become conversant in face-to-face meetings, able to hold conversations well in business setting and be effective in getting information needed to prepare proposals.

• Build skills to engage client independently after the first meeting to continue retrieving further information.

• Develop Keen interest in learning about new commercial technologies and market trends
  

Duration of Attachment:

• 6 months (with intention to convert to full-time employment)
  

Traineeship Description:

• This position reports to the company director, and interfaces with managers in other divisions in Business Development and Client Operations.
