Roles & Responsibilities Temp Accountant (6 months contract)
Role & Responsibilities

• Responsible for full set of accounts, schedules and monthly closing of holding company
• Responsible for the accounting of treasury related transactions

• Timely submission of financial results and analyses to consolidation team

• Preparation of monthly management report to senior management including financial analyses and rolling forecasts
• Ensure timely submission of cost centre reports to various stakeholders and variances against budget/forecast/prior period properly explained and supported
• Preparation of quarterly GST filings and income/deferred taxes computations
• Ensure timely intercompany billings and minimal discrepancy in intercompany transactions

• Ensure completeness of accruals for month-end closing

• Support annual budget preparation and budgeting activities by working closely with other corporate divisions
• Support consolidation team in preparing disclosures notes and tax reconciliations for half-year/full year results announcement and consolidated financial statements

• Professional qualification (ACCA or equivalent) and/or a Degree in Accounting and/or Finance from recognized university.
• 2 years relevant working experience in accounting/financial reporting, preferably with external audit background and finance shared services centre experiences
• Well versed in SAP and good knowledge in SFRS(i)
• Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Positive attitude with good multitasking skills
• Advance skills in MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint
• Exposure to internal controls and process improvements will be a plus
