Location : Nanyang Ave
Position : Temp Library Executive
Contract period : start 3 Jan 24 \xe2\x80\x93 31 Mar 24 (renewable)
Work hours
- Mondays to Thursdays : 8.30 am to 5.45 pm
Lunch : 45 minutes
- There will be shift duties to be undertaken as follows:
Saturday duties : 8.30am \xe2\x80\x93 5.15pm (est once a month)
Job scope
- Attend to a range of enquiries from users including loan and membership transactions, feedback, and assist in the use of library resources and facilities.
- Train, manage, and participate in the assessment of a pool of Student Assistants.
- Provide a range of services in various libraries during the evening and weekends opening hours.
- Provide access to course reserves in support of teaching and learning, including the overseeing the operations to process, track, and re-shelve reserves in a timely manner.
- Manage the libraries including basic troubleshooting of equipment and working condition of library facilities.
- Assist in office administrative work which includes (but is not limited to) rostering of staff and Student Assistants, collation of statistics, budget tracking, procurement etc.
- A recognized Diploma in any field. Salary range between $2,500 - $3,200, depending on experience.
- Work experience in libraries or service-oriented organizations is advantageous.
- Familiarity with library management systems (e.g. Alma) would be beneficial.
