About our group:We are a team of Firmware engineers responsible for developing Test Process features for HDD manufacturing process using C Language and Python scripts. We collaborate with engineers from other Functional teams, including Servo, Read-Write, Mechanical and Customer Firmware engineers to design and develop test process for HDD that will ensure Seagate HDD are best in class, beating our competitors in terms of Quality, Performance and Cost.About the role - you will:The firmware residing in Seagate HDD provides tools for engineers to run diagnostic tests for various purpose, similar to the diagnostic tests run by doctors in hospital to identify the various kind of sickness each patient are having.During your attachment, you will be given the responsibility to convert legacy diagnostic command protocols to a single unified standard and version that will facilitate code consolidation and reduce execution time when they are called in the backend of Seagate HDD Test Process. The unified standard command can be issued both via Serial Port and Native Interface (SAS & SATA).Therefore candidate should have good programming skill in both C++ and Python scriptsAbout you:

• Data analysis of test process data.
• Develop software tools to improve the efficiency of data analysis
• Apply machine learning to the test data

Your experience includes:

• Knowledgeable in Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence
• Skillful in Python Programming
• Skillful in MS Office Excel or JMP Software

Location:The Shugart site (named after Seagate\'s founder, Al Shugart) is a research and design center.
