Total Rewards Director, Asia

As part of the development and ongoing transformation of Sephora Asia, the Total Rewards Director is responsible for defining, leading, and driving the total compensation and benefits roadmap across the diverse markets of Greater China, Southeast Asia, Oceania and South Korea. Reporting to the Vice President of Human Resources, you will act as the expert for the Asia region and partner with business leaders regionally and globally to roll-out Total Rewards frameworks that are aligned to the respective market landscapes.
In this role we expect you to…

…Build and deploy the Total Rewards Strategy for Asia

  • Lead the Total Rewards Strategy for Sephora Asia in collaboration with our partners (internal business leaders in the region, LVMH group, consultants, brokers etc.)
  • Bring strategic vision to the definition of the Sephora Compensation policy for the Asia region
  • Develop a strong communication strategy and deploy communication tools related to total compensation, to enable an efficient management of the Global Reward in the company, across all levels of the organization

…Play the role as Centre of Excellence for Total Rewards
  • Drive Total Rewards projects including but not limited to regional harmonization of rewards policies, due diligence, talent market analysis and job-mapping exercises
  • Initiate and participate actively in projects related to Compensation or Benefits in the region, such as employee surveys, benefit adjustments, compensation harmonization; and subsequently ensure proper application, and adaptation in each country
  • Manage compensation reviews for the full region with the support from Compensation and Benefit sub-region teams and ensure salary proposals, changes, promotions and premium are aligned
  • Act as the functional leader for Total Rewards function across Asia, guide and develop the team members across sub-regions and markets

… Own Workforce Planning and Analytics
  • Lead the discussions on people budget during quarterly financial reviews for Sephora Asia, collaborating with Finance on budget assumptions and cost estimates
  • Drive analytics and share actionable insights with business leaders on variable and collective remuneration systems, support possible reorganizations, teleworking, salary benchmarking, etc.
  • Work with Finance and IT on relevant system implementations and updates to optimize automatable tasks within Total Rewards

… Commit to Continuous Improvement
  • Stay in-the-know of talent market trends and improve employee benefits whenever required, in accordance with the overall Total Rewards vision and budget
  • Evaluate existing contract with insurance companies, brokers, consultants and other service providers. Negotiate any renewal or new contract based on LVMH guidelines

We would love to hear from you if you have…
  • Over 12 years’ of experience in the areas of compensation and/or benefits; prior experience in retail, FMCG, or compensation & benefits consulting will be a strong plus
  • Experience working in a highly autonomous environment liaising with remote stakeholders across various geographical locations
  • Excellent communications and influencing skills to introduce new ideas and approaches towards rewards
  • Strong aptitude for numbers and able to derive financial impacts on compensation, benefit and rewards program
