Our Exciting Opportunity
The role of the Pension & Benefits team in Ericsson is to create and implement a proactive long-term and sustainable strategy and governance focused approach to retirement provision, all employee benefits, well-being, and flexible working management. Through this approach we control costs and generate savings, reduce risk and compliance issues while also improving employee engagement and brand.
Purpose The purpose of this role is to proactively drive the development and management of pension/retirement and employee benefit provisions in APAC and Oceania region (MOAI) in alignment with global instructions. This role provides design and operational expertise in the areas of pensions, employee benefits, and well-being across the Ericsson geography. One will be part of a dedicated team helping Ericsson to achieve long-term sustainability in these matters by improving our employee experience and brand, controlling costs, reducing risk and compliance issues, and strengthening our dedication to diversity and inclusivity.
You will

  • Support the development and implementation of the global long-term strategy for the pension, employee benefits and well-being area in our geography to ensure we provide pensions and benefits that control costs, manage risk and enhance employee value.
  • Drive, manage, and coordinate all aspects of local/regional/geographical pension, employee benefits & well-being programs.
  • Analyze and evaluate external and internal market trends, analytics and data.
  • Lead compliance and adherence to global and local instructions/policies, and relevant local regulations / legislations.
  • Regularly report and summarize status of pensions and benefit plans.
  • Partner with applicable SOX stakeholders to lead compliance with internal processes, and regulations, vendor selection and management.
  • Work with trustees, actuaries etc. in relation to the management of local pension plans
  • Together with People partners, TA SMEs and communication colleagues proactively drive and deliver communications and guidance on our employee pension, benefits and well-being offerings
  • Maintain relations with external consultants, insurers and vendors to ensure Ericsson receives high quality and timely service and support that is aligned with Ericsson’s pension/ insured benefits strategies and policies. Set appropriate performance metrics and measure vendor performance.
  • Provide pension support in cases of mergers, acquisitions and divestitures ensuring pension risks are considered in the applicable case.
  • Handle/support special projects as needed and appropriate.
  • Manage the annual budget process for pension, employee benefits and well-being as well as invoice processing and tracking for all program costs.

To be successful in the role you must have
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • 5+ years’ of relevant experience in handling benefits, wellbeing, and pension programs for a large employer
  • HR/Benefits certifications preferred but not required
  • Shown experience finding opportunities and driving improvements to programs and offerings
  • Demonstrated success in the design and implementation of successful benefits and well-being strategies
  • Ability to work collaboratively across cultures and organizations; strategically passionate about continuous improvement
  • Proficient PC skills to include, spreadsheet and database applications
  • Excellent analysis, problem-resolution skills
  • Thorough understanding of laws, regulations, and agency interpretations or opinions related to retirement benefits.
