We are looking for an Associate Director, Total Rewards to join our team and help us continue our growth trajectory. This is a unique opportunity to work with the SVP, People & Talent to work on global incentive programs that include cash compensation, bonus plans, long-term equity/ESOP strategies while leading a team. The ideal candidate has managed the key foundations of a total rewards program, and is excited at the prospect of working on the unique challenges of a late-stage VC backed company; someone who has worked in a public company environment managing equity programs is a plus.

You will report to the SVP, People & Talent, and be responsible for driving the design, implementation, and management of all aspects of our Total Rewards programs across our global locations (APAC, EMEA, and the United States). You will lead the Rewards team and you will be the trusted advisor to the People & Talent, Finance, Legal, and Senior Management teams, and work with external vendors to ensure that our Total Rewards strategy is competitive, cost-effective, and aligned with our business goals as we continue to scale.

This is a unique role based in Singapore with a global scope and mandate and not just a regional impact.

What you will be doing

  • Develop and implement a global total rewards strategy that aligns with Airwallex\'s business objectives and values.
  • A proven leader and people-manager who can lead teams and partner with People & Talent leaders, as well as senior leadership
  • Hone your abilities as a total rewards leader in a global capacity with exposure to executive compensation
  • Oversee the design, implementation, and communication of compensation and benefits programs, including base pay, variable pay, equity, and benefits, to ensure market competitiveness and alignment with Airwallex\'s culture and values.
  • Manage the bi-annual salary review and bonus process, including market analysis, benchmarking, and budgeting.
  • Collaborate with HR business partners and other key stakeholders to ensure total rewards programs are integrated with other HR programs and initiatives.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on all aspects of total rewards, including compensation, benefits, and equity, to support business decisions.
  • Analyze and report on compensation and benefits data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Work with external vendors to ensure that our benefits programs are cost-effective and provide the best value for our employees

  • Manage a team of total rewards professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and development opportunities to ensure their growth and success.
What you will bring
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in total rewards, including compensation, benefits, and equity, preferably in a high-growth, global organization.
  • Consulting experience would be highly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of compensation and benefits practices and trends, including market analysis and benchmarking.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing total rewards strategies and programs that support business goals and values.
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize competing demands.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data to drive decisions.
  • Experience managing and developing a team of total rewards professionals.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
