Responsibilities : * Handle full spectrum of trade execution / documentation for both container and bulk sugar shipments

• Check for acceptability of terms and accuracy of incoming Letters of Credit and liaise with buyers to obtain any amendments that are required
• Issue documentary instructions and ensure accurate and timely submissions of shipping documentation to the bank for L/C negotiation/Documentary collection for a quick turnaround of documents
• Provide all necessary information and documents to treasury/banks for trade financing
• Arrange cargo insurance were applicable
• Vessel laytime calculation and finalization with shipowners/sellers/buyers
• Collaborate and communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, such as trading, treasury, shipping team.
• Liaise with external stakeholders, such as suppliers, buyers, inspection companies, banks, insurance company, etc.
• Ensure prompt receipt of buyers\xe2\x80\x99 payments, chase overdue accounts and maintain records
• Data entry into ITAS (Integrated Trading and Accounting Solutions)

Requirements :

• At least 5 years of experience in dealing with international trade of bulk and containerised cargo preferred.
• Experience in agricultural commodity trading and laytime calculation will be a plus.
• Knowledge on commodity trading process, L/C and laytime calculation
• Knowledge in regulatory landscape and governing rules
• Technical expertise in trade operations, contractual terms and contract execution concepts
• Knowledge in import/export logistics and practices
• Basic knowledge on Legal and Accounting terms in relation to sales contracts and execution, dispute and resolution
• Well versed with trade operation and process
• Proficiency in verbal/written Mandarin would be a plus
